Story of foolish Gardener | English Story

On the border of a forest, a zamindar had a large garden, which he liked very much. As he could not take care of it himself, he hired a gardener to look after the garden. The gardener was very loyal, and cared for the garden very well.

However, it was summer and he had to water the plants daily. As a result, there was no leave for him, because, if he ever took leave, even for a day, most of the plants would dry up. Whenever, he went to the landlord with a request to take a day off, the landlord would whisper, "Who will water the plants in your absence? Because there is no one else to water the plants in your absence, I Huh? " Fear, I cannot give you any leave ". The gardener was frightened and had no answer. And as a result, he had to think about taking leave any day.

And so the drunkard kept on going.

One day, the annual temple festival was about to take place in the village of Mali; He was very keen to go and participate in the festivities. Therefore, he decided to take at least a day off, but did not dare to confront the zamindar and ask for a day off. So, he thought all night, and came up with a plan.

He decided to contact a group of monkeys who were living in a nearby forest. The gardener carefully approached the leader of the monkeys and told him that he was a gardener, and worked in a large house, on the border of the forest. He pointed to the leader of the house and the monkeys, nodded in acknowledgment.

The gardener said that the house belonged to the zamindar, and that he was a cruel and merciless man. He said that the zamindar did not give him a day's rest.

The gardener then presented his plight to the leader of the monkeys. He said, "Tomorrow is a big festival in my village, and I want to participate and go. Can you possibly help me?"

The monkey's head was a bit cautious, as he had no idea how to help the poor gardener. He asked the gardener, "In what way can I or my subjects help you?"

The gardener then laid out his plan. For one day, from tomorrow, you and your subjects, please see my work ”. He further stated that they would provide pots and utensils to all the monkeys, and all they had to do was to take it to the river, fill it, and later water each plant. The monkey chief, after hearing the story of the gardener's death, felt pity for him and said, "Don't worry, you go and attend your festival, and we'll take care of your work".

The gardener was relieved and happy. They gave the monkeys some utensils and utensils and quickly left for their village to participate in the temple festivities.

However, the monkeys had a doubt. He had no idea how much water there was; They should put it on every plant, because they forgot to ask the gardener. So contacted the chief and told him about his problem.

The monkey chief thought for a while and said, "You have to water each plant according to the length of its root." His subjects then asked the leader how they could find the length of the roots. The monkey's head got a little angry, he dismissed them and said, "Take out each plant, find out how far the roots have gone, and put them back and then water each plant accordingly."

The head of the monkeys were unmoved at his intelligence and he was appreciated by all. The chief then asked to be proud of his subjects without delay.

As per the advice of the monkeys - they took out each plant, looked at the length of the roots and planted them back randomly, and watered them. Because of this, most plants lost their roots in the process and began to dry up.

The next day, the landlords went out for a walk in their favorite garden, and saw that all their plants were uprooted, and they were drying up. He immediately called the gardener. The frightened gardener told the landlord what had happened, and this angered the landlord and he immediately fired the gardener.

As a result of his foolish act, the gardener lost his job!
